Stained Glass making

In Monteux, Chantal welcomes you to her stained glass making workshop.

Her carreer:

She discovered the technique of stained glass mounted with lead and painted with grisaille in the tradition of the Middle Ages at the FIAT LUX workshop in Avignon with Master glassmaker Pascal SONNET.

Then, she practiced 4 years of at the Massalia Vitrail workshop in Marseille, discovering the TIFFANY technique and sandblasting. She also joined a workshop in training in 13th-century painting with Josette TRUBLARD at CERFAV in Vannes le Chatel.

Today, her workshop offers custom-made creations that showcase all the techniques she has acquired since she began her apprenticeship, as well as restorations of old stained-glass windows (for private individuals and religious buildings).

She, now, teaches stained glass mounting.

Chantal GIMMIG’s studio is bathed in light. Light is an integral part of the craft: it’s part of the magic that allows stained glass to reveal its most beautiful aspects. Relying on a wide range of techniques, this stained-glass artist / glass painter also restores and creates high-precision works of art for private customers.

Times : 3 hours/ 8 hours workshop.
